Kudos to garmin. some recent college graduate engineer came up with a bracket and the software guys made a few code changes. now they can get a few more years out of livescope sales. $1300 looks like a bargain!
agree with others that the bass guys will be interested. and like the idea for shallow redfish. not sure how far the range will really be in shallow saltwater.
the only downside i see is the transducer has to be manually rotated.

I'm very dedicated to HB but dangett is garmin making it hard with that move..... If there are any HB employees here pass the word y'all better get it in gear.....   I'm liking that, liking it a lot..... This just opened an entirely new opportunity. Shallow water capability for largemouth under docks, but even more exciting is shallow water redfish and trout in the saltwater.... Yeah, this perspective looks like a more useful tool than that other.....I know you'll be one of the 1st to have it..... Sorta like 360......

They know you want something you can change on the fly. They sell this model for the first 6 months to every inpatient fisherman with the money and most without and then come out with a transducer you don't have to move. Its called making money or what they refer to as good business.

I got the download on a micro SD card but unit will not see it, it does see the card. but the update will not autostart. Any ideas?

Wow is all I can say just Garmin with another home run. I'm so dang excited about this... They've hit a homerun while leading 14-2 in the 9th inning. Oh, and there's even a walmart $5 solution for those who have a separate xducer pole. This was posted by somebody on the LVS tips and DIY site. On the new mount is it just turn it sideways gangster mode just like going from forward to down or do you have to loosen the bolt? I keep getting software system download error on my active captain. How do you know if you have the most recent update with perspective mode?
