I think alot of the angst against Canes is from a crowd that can only truly be happy at Lubys.

You sealed your own fate by admitting you didn't eat your foot until you got back to you office.
Of course the fries were cold, and the toast blah.
Cane's is great, and if you eat there, and ask for either "crispy fries or fries no salt," you are guaranteed to get hot, fresh fries.
This review is way flawed!!

Addendum: After rereading the initial post, and the "confusing" title, I have no idea if this is a Raisin' Canes review, or some place called "Slim Chickens," of which I've never heard about.

I think all chicken joints pretty much suxs. Slims, Canes, Chicken Express, etc.
I do like KFC grilled thighs that are freshly made...…...

None of those places have [censored] on Babes. Right here in Sanger. Babes is Great. But most of us live too far away to go there very often. But their chicken is the Best!

If you go to Zaxbys try the fried mushrooms.
I enjoyed them so much I started buying small portobello's and frying them at Home when I fry fish.

When I lived in Dallas a number of years ago, there was a Cowboy Chicken right around the corner from my townhouse. Loved their chicken and it was a great alternative to the fried chicken places on every corner. Don’t even know if they are still around. I'll have to try it next time I am in Longview.

There is a cowboy chicken in Denton off 380, not bad. Never had dry chicken yet Was in that location one evening when the glass doors to the oven shattered.
