I use Bucco 6'10" finesse jig and 6'7" weightless worm rods for drop shots. Finesse jig for texas rigging and weightless worm for nose hooking.

I prefer to drop shot with a bait caster so don't rule that out when you are looking for a rod. Check out the Majorcraft Nanoace rod sold by Fun N Sun in Hurst if you can. I have two of them and love them for drop shotting. Daiwa also makes some finesse reels in the $80 range that would work well on that rod.

The rod is 6ft 10in. long.

I was actually going to suggest the 702 as an excellent DS casting rod but not going to find a Dobyns 702 for the OP’s “under $100”.
