I have a tv question....
I want to get a new tv for my motorhome. Very confused....
I have a Mobile satellite setup with dish network. I also have unlimited data capability on my android phone.
The dish network box does not allow streaming channels...so, no Netflix.
Apple AirPlay, I think, would allow phone Netflix to be shown on tv...but, I might have that backwards. Is there a similar capability for android?
Some TVs have 8200.11 listed on the box which I think means they are WiFi capable. What does that get me? Do I need a home network on the MH? Phone has hotspot capability...is that enough?
In smaller TVs, 32 inch is the biggest I can fit inside the box...about all I can find is 1080P...but most are 720. Some refresh at 60hz, but few at 120. How big a difference?
Thanks in advance for any clarity you might add.

BEWARE, I AM AN OLD!! I used to have the dish setup, PITA when traveling and did not have a DVR due to extra cost in addition to the monthly charge. Sold that and got Directv at home with free streaming to my Samsung Galaxy ATT phone ( which is the only carrier that I get a signal with on my property). I then put a small SMART TV in the motor home bedroom and a larger SMART TV in the dash replacing the small tv that was there. I can see this one from the table and the couch and it is plugged into the AUX sound port on the motor home's in-dash radio so it plays thru the surround sound. I cast the screen from the phone to either tv using the appropriate app for the tv. I can stream live or I can watch my home DVR. No antennas to setup or cables to connect. This setup streams to the phone over cellular, no WIFI needed. Home DVR can be set to record with Directv app also. I would get the 1080P if available with the highest refresh rate for your location. My larger one is 1080P but was only available in the 720 for the smaller bedroom tv, Both work fine, I can't tell a difference. One is a Samsung and one is an LG.

If the TV is a "smart TV" it should have netflix on it. Connect to phone hotspot and you should be good to go (if you have good enough service). If its not a smart TV i would just drop the $50ish bucks on a roku, apple tv, amazon firestick, etc.

There are wireless add ons...like the Verizon MIFI. Do those provide additional capability.?
I think streaming is the way of the future...so spending to enhance that ability seems the way to go...

It wouldn't take much use it all up. I get 8gb of hotspot a month, but unlimited on the phone itself. With airplay or chromecast, you can take advantage of a phones unlimited streaming.

Unlimited data does not mean unlimited hotspot. I'm with Verizon and get 15 mb free hotspot per month. That gets used up quick when streaming tv.

like said, smart tv and just cast from the phone.
Tmobile includes netflix on mine for free. get a dvr and record while you are not watching or even while you watch record another show.
smart tv will have hulu, netflix and others already loaded, just have to set up and then have signal or wifi, campgrounds all have it for free normally.

You can get Android Airplay. It's same as Apple Airplay but for the droids. Just make sure your TV is Apple Airplay compatible Your local TV outlet can help you also. Here is some reading material. https://airmore.com/mirror-android-apple-tv.html
