The fact that LA is butt hurt makes it that much better

Looks like a lot of baseball clubs are pretty butthurt about this.

Forget about the Dodgers, this is really bad for the sport. And now that it's done it's still not being handled well by MLB or Houston.

The reasons the investigations are slowing down is that the holiest of holy New York Yankees were being looked at hard and MLB doesn't want to offend them.

I suspect it was wide spread. LA is a bunch of cry babies.

They should get the SMU penalty and sit out a few years.

The punishment should fit the crime and the punishment by the commissioner was close to appropriate (should have been more draft picks and a larger fine)

Paying off umpires or players = Owners have to sell the team at fmv and vacate the World Series trophy/rings
Systemic doping of players = vacating World Series trophy/rings
Stealing signs electronically = loss of draft picks and large fine

The media will continue to exacerbate the situation

I don’t think there will be as much of a gap as the last few seasons... but yeah this is not the Rangers year. Guess it all depends on how the Astros respond to being the new most hated team in baseball. Maybe they thrive, but maybe they collapse. Hard to keep your head on straight when you can’t go to dinner outside of your hometown without some shouting “cheater!”. America loves a good falling from grace storyline so you know the media will continue to hammer them all year. Can you imagine the questions asked if batting averages drop this year??

Better hope they don't investigate all teams, will be a lot of mad/sad fans. They won't do it because it would be bad real bad for baseball. Baseball has been full of cheaters for along time. Just go back a few years and look at the steroid users. People can bash the Astros all they want the damage and humiliation has been done. If the Astros were smart they will shut the players off from the media(I mean how many different ways can you ask the same dam question over and over and over and over) and just let Baker answer questions about baseball, nothing else the players are gonna say is gone help or hurt them.

Take back the trophy,take back the rings. Don't give them to the Dodgers just leave leave the spot blank where the 2017 MLB champion is listed. Sort of like a strike season would be listed. No champion that year. Seems like a fair compromise to me.

The Astros are going to get booed and heckled out of the stadiums of 82 road games and who knows how many in Houston, astros fans are pissed too.

It’s going to make winning 100+ games, the AL and a second World Series that much sweeter.
