First time I have ever gone out to Eagle Mountain and never caught a keeper. I drifted my 4 regular drifts and never came up with anything worth while. Caught 3 little dinks @12" in 22' ft of water. Went shallow and tried the flats around the island with nothing. Even got up in the timber on the south end of the island. Nothing.
Last ditch effort I even start fishing the cormorants and pelicans that were grouped up working shad. Nothing!!
Is everyone going up the river this time of year or was it an off day with little wind to get a good drift going.

Off day for sure...we only got 8 up to 12 on Lewisville but the fish were there. They just didn’t want to play.
