You're going to get zero reponses on this. Trlrman and myself are probably the only two on the TFF that have heard/know what it is. I'm not against it. Just haven't tried it yet. Interested on your results and thoughts at years end.

Are we discussing the use of fabric to "wick" the water up to the plants ? I've used it for seed germination . .

I have used some wicking tubs for growing tomatoes for several years. The tubs usually last 2-3 years in full sun, but they grow great tomatoes. Here's where I got the idea and plans.

I use a drainage atrium gate that I pick up at Lowes for the wick basket.

These keep your tomatoes or other vegetable roots in a stable moisture. Really helps out here in west Texas.

I tried several variations of wicking containers but only got it right using rubbermaid totes. Most of my attempts ended with the soil going rotten from being too wet with no air circulation. I will probably try it again some day as it is really cool. I've had the best success with just traditional gardening using raised beds. I even tried aquaponics for a couple years but ended up dismantling it and going back to the dirt.

So is it worth looking into this?

Jeremiah 7:28 KJV

But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

Galatians 4 : 16

Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
