Do you ever use a gold frame as opposed to the silver/gray? I would assume it is for stained water, just wondering if you make the switch.

Don’t overthink it. Put thought into weight, skirt color, and blade shape/color...not wire color

Some of the war eagle spinnerbaits have the golden wire but honestly I've never put much thought into it. Guess if you tied up 2 of the same baits but they had different color wires could prove it matters or not?

Yep. Catches ways more fish! Kidding. Like said: don’t overthink. Change your blade or skirt colors. (I) don’t worry about the blades. Of course if someone wins a big tournament with a gold colored wire spinnerbait it’s on!

I have a few Hildebrants with gold wire. I don't really think it matters for the most part but if the fisherman has more confidence in the bait he is throwing then sometimes that's all that matters.
For about the last year I have been building my own inlines. I take the time to match the color of the clevis to the blade but it really doesn't matter I am sure. And if they offered gold wire for me to build with I would buy it. I like perfection and if I am going to take the time to build them I want them as close to perfect as possible.

I use the war eagle spinner baits with the gold wire/head, and they do catch fish, i can attest to that in dirty water, however I feel it is the chartreuse and white skirt and blade color (red colorado blade and size colorado/willow combination that has more effect, the gold wire just ties it all together for me. It doesn't hurt

Bring back the old hildebrandt spinnerbaits! The ones they sale today are not as good as the old ones . I seen where Santone is building one that looks like it .
