I saw lots of fish caught while I was there. Mostly Buffalo 8-14lb, heard a nice carp was caught as well. TXMS was passing off his fish to anyone interested, heard some PB's were broken and he was also teaching those that wanted to learn.
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

Sounds like a great time!
If I was not out on a blue cat trip today I would have joined you guys! Sounds like you did better than I did.
Love a good buff or carp. Hard fighting fish.

Nice pics.
That next to last one, that buff, is it the camera or does it have a blue stain on it?

Nice pics.
That next to last one, that buff, is it the camera or does it have a blue stain on it? The blue is something similar to this: Carp CareTXMulti-Species showed me the full Carp Spa Treatment in person last year during a meet and greet. Comfy beds, Anti-Septic, and massage techniques (actually not massage, but how to properly hold a carp for pics) are all part of the treatment. It shows a great level of respect for the species to ensure someone else has the opportunity to catch the fish again in good health.

Thanks guys! Dan, Brine is 100% correct, that blue spot is an antiseptic we use if the fish is bleeding or damaged to help it heal. That particular fish had recently lost some scales (either during the fight or sometime before) so I sprayed him up to help the healing process. Most times we use it if they're bleeding from the hook wound - but with small hooks that isn't often an issue. Love that unique scale pattern on Hot Pizza's buff! Yep that was a super cool one!
