Do y’all think there’s any bite under bridges right now? Specifically the bridges at Richland Chambers. I only have a kayak so bridges are the only area I can think of to fish while it’s still cold. Any advice is appreciated!

There should be fish on most bridges right now. You never know till you go.

Check the west side of the 287 bridge near the channel. there is also timber a few hundred yards to the south that you can check out if the weather is decent. do you have electronics? you won't have to spend much time on the bridge if you can scan it first.

glad these rains will help the lake level a bit. good luck!

I do have electronics, but nothing special. I have the Garmin striker 4 which just has GPS and classic 2D sonar.

I would launch at the fm2859 ramp and fish that bridge instead of the 287 this time of year. JUST MY 2cents

the lake just went up more than 2 feet in the last 48 hours or so (and will keep rising). it may be a bit irregular for a week. i was thinking of fishing this sunday - if i do, i'll let you know if i hit the bridges!

Bentman63 RC is one lake you don't want to be on a windy day. Largest part of the lake runs north to south. But your tracker would be fine on lake Halbert which is located off of 287 just east of 45 in Corsicana .

I agree about RC on a windy Day but in a Tracker even on Halbert it can be dicey. It depends on the wind direction. If the winds are N-NW you should fish along the face of the dam . There you will be shielded from the winds. There are some old pilings along the dam that hold fish but If it`s from the south I would fish the rip rap on the N side of the RR tracks. There are plenty of rocks , concrete & parts of the old RR bridge left in there.

Fished RC sunday. Weather was beautiful and fishing stunk. The lake is up 3+ feet from the rain. i scanned the 287 bridge and didn't see anything but baitfish. i spent most of the morning trying to get my new livescope settings tuned and marked a number of new brush piles.

I haven’t fished it recently, but the 198 bridge nearest the county ramp on Cedar Creek held a good amount of fish this time last year.
