Billy Dyson was a TFF moderator, a well know Lake Fork angler, mentor to many and all around good guy. We lost him in January 2019 to cancer. In his memory, his wife Kay Dyson has decided to start a foundation and annual charity tournament. The foundation is a place to keep the money we raise and the tournament is a way to raise money. I am sure we will add other events in the futre to raise money, but this is how we are starting.
For a long time the TFF and THF have been in need of a charity to funnel our fundraising through and this has presented us a solution. Currently, we see the foundation helping outdoors men and women in need and possibly focusing on individuals and families impacted by cancer.
Kay Dyson is president and treasurer of the foundation and pretty much will have final say on everything. In order to get it off the ground, we need to raise some money. If you have anything you would like to auction off to help, please do it here. It doesn't matter what it is. You can auction a deck of cards, tools, obviously fishing equipment ... really anything. Guide trips make an awesome auction item. If a guide donates a trip, they get a TFF Sponsor Guide avatar for a year.
Please help us get this foundation off the ground!
Kay will have a checking and PayPal account set up soon under the name Billy Dyson Foundation so you will be able to send a check or PayPal your money there when you sell an item. It helps if you include shipping with the sale.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

Advice and help needed... If I were to donate or buy an item is there any way to bypass PayPal completely? Will the checking account make this all possible?

If you have PayPal, send payment to payments@outdoorsites.net, or you can send a check to Billy Dyson Foundation - P.O. Box 7, Scroggins, TX 75480.

The preferred method of payment right now is a check made out to Billy Dyson Foundation. Kay will have a PayPal account set up for the foundation down the road.
