I am trying to gauge interest in a crappie tournament for East Texas. East of Palestine and South of Pines. It would be 7 fish, 1 pole, 1 jig, no live bait. We are in the very early stages of this so we want honest opinions. There will be a guaranteed money amount for first place no matter the entries. There is a third option "yes if". Give us input if you would based on a certain situation. Thanks for your input

Pro Crappie Tour already does this! Between PCT, CAT, ACT, and CM I don't know I would have any weekends left! And we're only picking and choosing a few! Not fishing all of anything! That said if I was sitting at home I would probably go!!!

To our knowledge none of those circuits touch Toledo or Rayburn. That’s what we are looking at.

Rayburn is a fun lake! CAT went there once but the turnout was poor because it was too far to go! We had a blast there though. Fish all over that lake and Hellen Keller could find brush piles there! They're the size of a house an marked with a jug half the time!

Are you talking about a tournament where the fish have to be pulled out from an ice chest full of ice, where only 3 fish, of a seven fish stringer can be over 11 inches, where the tourney catch is filleted and cooked after the weighin, where the fishing doesn’t start till 9am and weighin is 2pm, where the person with the smallest legal crappie automatically wins second place overall, and where there is only one pole, artificial only (no nibbles, either) type rules? If so, I can probably arrange my schedule to make such a tourney...otherwise, I’m busy.
Oh yea, tell your boat buddy, he gets uglier every time I see him...and I expect him to show back up to Troy’s deal this year. I’m sure ole Troy will invite you too, although, I DONT ever speak for Troy!

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?
