Surprised no one has spoken on the Marshal relaying fishing info on what another angler is using to catch fish. Saw it over on BBC.

Surprised no one has spoken on the Marshal sharing info on other anglers yet. Saw it over on BBC. It wasn't a marshal sharing info. Someone heard something thru a live microphone. So they text all the boat officials to tell the anglers. So everyone had the same info. The db's on bbc think it's some cheating scandal. It's just the opposite

There is conjecture that an angler overheard that Wheeler was catching them on cranks, so MLF texted all of the marshals to tell all of the anglers so there was no competitive advantage, and the camera happened to pick up one of the anglers being told in real time. If that’s the case, I see no issue. If it was a marshal giving competitive advantage, then that’s bad. I don’t see them making that mistake, though. Obviously, they know who is on camera when.

Sucks for the original angler, and I see your point, but limiting the competitive advantage to two guys would be unfair to the other 38. Fairness means no favoritism. A level playing field. If two know and 38 don’t, that’s unfair. I do think the no info rule in MLF is too restrictive in general.

I should have mentioned that the Marshall was the messenger of the message from the MLF front office.
