Set out late morning with the full moon , got set up on my first drift by 10:30 and about 20 minutes in I had a planer board take off and load the rod after a good battle I had the first fish a solid 39 pounder in the boat . Ten minutes after releasing it I had another good run that turn out to be a nice 23 pounder. Followed those with a 12 ,10 and nice 23 inch Hybrid . It slowed down a little with just a few box fish here and there .
I made a move and set up for one more drift . A couple more box fish and a little lull when I notice a rod move a little then slowly started to bow and when it looked like it had some pressure on it I reeled down and let the circle hook work . It did its job and the big blue did hers and put up and epic drag peeling battle after what seemed like a while I had her boat side and netted the 45 pounder.
Turned out to be my best solo day .

Those are some solid fish. Been pulling some good fish off the north end of lake. Hope this little rain will get the bite fired up on some of the flats.
