Interesting because they say that radio waves in the electromagnetic spectrum travel close to the speed of light. So a radio wave sent by a star 1 light year away would take 1 year approximately to reach the Earth. This implies that Radio Waves they are picking up now from somewhere 3 billion light years away originated 3 billion years ago. Odds are that their batteries are dead by now.

I don't know how they figured the signals originated from 3 billion light years away?
