I believe the "n" stands for networkable; as with a ipilot trolling motor (for example)

The only G3 models are the non-networkable (stand alone) Helix 7's.

All models with N are networkable via Ethernet.

Helix 12 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G4N, SOLIX 10 G3, Helix 15 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G4N,
Helix 8 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G4N, SOLIX 12 G3, MEGA 360, MEGA LIVE TL , MEGA LIVE 2, Xplore 10

What exactly does networkable mean? Other than it has Bluetooth I’m assuming

Ethernet networking is connecting devices together to share data via an Ethernet cable.

The units do not communicate with each other via Bluetooth. The ones with Bluetooth can link to smartphones and tablets to load data.

Oh ok gotcha. Doesn’t really seem necessary to spend an extra 2-300 for that
