Try being a plumber at the second largest school district in Texas  Like those kids ever hit the toilet. Try being a custodian! Many of the kids whose parents came from south of the border thought the urinal was for doing a number 2🤢 and they throw their toilet paper in the trashcan instead of flushing

Business trip to Japan - went in the bathroom and the 'toilets' were holes in the floor. There was residue around the edges of the holes where the deposit didn't exactly hit the hole. The stench would make your eyes water. Luckily my hotel room had an actual toilet. Same thing in southern Italy many years ago.

We have a 'family' bathroom at work... basically it's a bathroom anyone can use and the door locks. It was originally a men's restroom and for the longest time nobody used it. Now it's always in use, but more often than not people don't lock that door. That poor toilet gets violated multiple times a day. As bad as it is, the women's restroom is worse. I asked the custodian one time why the women's restroom doors were always propped open.... she told me it's because the smell is so bad.  I usually just go to the locker room. The naked 80 year old men is disturbing, but the poop smell is rarely an issue. Our mainframe team puts some very powerful odor fighting urinal screens out and keeps the offending odors at a minimum. https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-18729/Bathroom-Supplies/Uline-Deluxe-Urinal-Screen These really do help. We have 6000 people a day in our facility...
