What’s your thoughts? Ever seen anything like it? I know the package says Green Tide Surf Fishing, that’s my guide service, but I’m an avid bass fisherman as well. I love throwing Carolina rig (tungsten) on fluorocarbon but got tired of the break offs due to the glass beads. Switched to plastic beads but the sound isn’t the same. I’ve got them in one tackle shop, called Rambo Outdoors already and in the process of getting it into more. Just wanted to see what y’all thought based on looks. I fished with the 1 oz version last weekend and did really well with no break off’s.

The only thing I see that hinders the performance is the “locked in” weight. The great thing about a c rig is the sliding line though the weight. It gives the fish the ability to pick up the bait and run with it, without feeling the unnatural weight along with it.

Also , with regards to glass beads cutting knots and/or line... use the parts in this order. Weight, glsss bead, tungsten clacker, then the swivel. Use braid main line, fluorocarbon leader. I’ve not had an issue with this setup in years and years. I use a c rig almost every trip.

Top brass is hard wire. There weight is brass or lead. They don’t contain the same components as mine does either.

Had the same issue until I added a brass disc between tungsten and the bead. Also add a bobber stop at the knot to protect it. No more break offs

Looks good and a good option for guys the don’t want to keep up with all the components. I agree with SteezMacQueen on how it would allow the fish to feel the weight.

I use one a ways up from the main weight, to help keep the weight from sliding way up the line sometimes during a cast but never thought to use one by the knot

Interesting. Is that a coated braided wire? I do like how it's an "all in one" deal. I've used some different versions pf these for crigs in the past. What other weight options do you have? Do all come as a 5 pack? Thanks for the reply.

Just too much for my old school dealings. I have never had great success with the rattles and ticking sounds of baits or rigs. My larges stringer came from Falcon by sliding my Pegged Weight up the line; while my partner broke off 3 of those kind of rigs. While he was working with all the bells and whistles I put 5 huge Bass in the boat.

Yes sir, it’s coated. I make them in 1/2, 3/4 and 1 oz. They sell individually, however I had a customer order 5, so I bagged them all together and made a special label that said 5 pack.

I like it. ive been draggin rigs for over 30 years and find the fish cant feel the weight theory is just that. if they pick up your bait and swim off for more than a couple of secs you are not feeling the initial pick up and highly risk injuring the fish with a deep hook. also helps in casting distance and accuracy. how much are these?

This is my reasoning. I am fishing a 1/4 oz Crig. most of the time if there is no wind. If there is grass or timer involved then it is 1/2 oz.; just a weight pegged and swivel. Many times I go down the side of a a point with lots of cover/hardwoods with a TX. Rig Pegged. I am always going off the end of that point; so I slide the weight up. I am looking for staging fish on the contour off that point. Then I move back in and put the weight back in place to do the other side of the point. If they are on the Crig bite then I am going with my regular light weight Crig all the way around the point from one side, off the point and the other side. Sorry NO sound of beads or clickers.
