Very difficult to get the straight scoop on a lake in Mexico. I haven't heard of a minor fish kill in Baccarac , hope that's not true. So far it is three 10 pounders on topwaters or a fish kill lake.
Someone is down there fishing right now that knows the true story.
And after next week I will.

So now I heard that there is no cartel problem and there has not been a fish kill. Iām totally confused and if anyone has been to Baccarat lately, would you please post your experience. I am retired, on a fixed income. Iām not sure if some of the above information is true or someone is joking around.

Go to Lake Baccarac Facebook. Fishing results are posted almost every day. If you have questions call Terry Hollan the owner. Any security opinions posted here are total bs. Terry flies his own plane down to the lodge almost every week. If you want to catch lots of really large bass no other Mexican lake compares. I've been numerous times myself. Going back this fall.

This was just a well-intentioned joke at our Yankee cohort.
This lake was the former best kept secret in Mexico.
No fish kill..... no cartel business..... Just great food, fishing and muchas cervezas.
The best baits as of yesterday evening are:
XD6s, 8s and 10s Lizards Senkos Jigs Traps Pre-rigged Storm swim baits (4-6inches)
Tight lines there Jersey.
