I didn't want to hi-jack the other thread so I started my own.We are headed up there in March for fun fishing,what are some good jig colors for the early spring there?Crankbaits?

Same colors you would use down here. Browns definitely would dominate my selection. Also, if you use finesse jigs, you are going to have more fun due to the numbers. And, make sure to throw the Ned rig there. Smallies in the 3lb range will have your spinning reel drag singing.

There is even a color called "Table Rock Special" that features a somewhat chartreuse/yellow base w/ purple highlights.

I personally like the old Peanut Butter & Jelly color scheme on that lake.

Thanks guys.We have been 2 times up there,had a ball with smallmouth the first time throwing pumpkin/char. finesse rigged wacky with a nail in the head.I love to throw jigs and was going to make some special ones up to take with us.Thanks again.

Browns and orange. Green pumpkin and blue. Find a shallow spot with some rocks. Turn rocks over gently and see what color the crawdads are. Match the color.

PB&j is tough to beat. Better have a wart style crank and a finesse jig tied on. 45 degree banks and start churning and burning.

Plum colored worm on a drop shot is a staple there according to the guide we fished with
