Very sad news. Prayers to his family and friends.

Many years ago he autographed a hat for me which I have proudly hanging in my office.

RIP... met him a few years ago and won't ever forget that big white cowboy hat!

I hope the FLW athletes do like in other sports where they wear a "patch" the rest of the season in Honor of the deceased.

True ambassador for the sport. Made a pretty good boat, too. He will be missed.

I had the opportunity to shake his hand at the Dallas Market Hall boat show many years ago. He was a first class gentleman and a true visionary for the sport. Prayers to his family.

A true Legend in the bass fishing world. Was able to meet and talk to him a few years back at a Bass Master Classic. Prayers to the family

Prayers up for his family!

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

Yes he did, maybe the most influential one person in Bass Boats. He forced everyone to raise the bar. RIP.
