Rick Wilson and I are hosting the first American Carp Society Fish-In for this year February 16, 2020 at Scott's Landing Marina on Grapevine Lake. If you'd like to start your Carp fishing journey this is the perfect opportunity. All you'll need to bring is yourself and plenty of energy to reel in big, powerful fish!

Here's one of the larger Common Carp from Grapevine - this one wasn't very long but she sure was thick! She tipped the scales at 22lbs even. I was thrilled to be able to put him on such a great fish!

Here's a nice sized Smallmouth Buffalo from Lake Grapevine - you can find them up to twice this size in the lake!

Here's an example of what we're gonna be doing next Sunday. Myself and several of my buddies will be fishing hard and passing off rods as we hook up. You'll be able to get all of the fun of fishing with none of the work! Carp fight super hard so be ready for a battle!

So far this year I've had 6 Common Carp over 20lbs and one Buffalo that was just under 30, all from here in DFW. Fish this big can be found in even the smallest waters such as ponds or creeks, you just have to know how to target them! Coming out this Sunday will be your first step towards catching some beautiful giants like my most recent 20+ pictured below!
