Carpet would definately help to keep the noise down.

I have vinyl floors (not on a Tracker but looks to be the same stuff) because I didn't want carpet on a boat. It's not slick at all. Maybe if you had a bunch of fish slime on the deck but I've always had good traction on my boat. The biggest downsides for me is that it can get hot enough in the summer that going barefoot can be uncomfortable (color is light gray) and kneeling on it is hard on the knees compared to carpet. No regrets so far, real easy to keep clean.

I bought the vinyl flooring from BPS about 6 years ago, and replaced the main seating area of my Alumacraft Tournament Sport 185 carpet with it. It did not get slick when wet and was very durable. Back in August, when I designed my new War Eagle 2170 Blackhawk...I had it sprayed with the grey liner from front to back. I absolutely love not having any more carpet in my boat. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/01/full-893-37675-fb21b4b3_7a99_4249_b2b5_6ab756b45277.jpeg)

I have a tracker with the vinyl flooring and I love it. Easy to clean, not slick, doesn't get hot in the sun, lures don't get hung up in it and it seems pretty durable. I don't see any point where I will have to replace it in the future like you would eventually have to do with carpet.

My last boats had carpet and I did not like it much due to the amount of catfish I seem to catch. I really don't want it on my next boat.

I fished with a catfish guide last year that had a Lund Pro-V. He had some kind of floor that he said was troweled onto the floor. Looked good and he said very easy to keep clean, but I don't know exactly what its called.
Luck will beat skill any time you have enough of it!
