Your best bet to get in shape, stay healthy, stay slim and guard against injury, etc., is to stretch, stretch, stretch and s--t--r--e--t--c--h some more. Live by this motto or mantra, or at least add it to your other mottos and mantras. ** The more your body is like a rubber band, the less likely you will injure yourself, while giving yourself the best chance of having the body and health you crave. ** Do your body right, eat right, be active, stay positive, relieve stress and stretchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! ...------

I should probably post this in the Off Topic since so many forum brothers never come to the health section, or even think about it.

I agree. When I'm not stretching on a regular basis, my back will stove up on occasion and then I will have lots of lower back pain. I was diagnosed with a bulging disc some 30 years ago, and at times I've had severe pain with lower lumbar, sciatic nerve pain, etc. The only thing that would correct the issue is chiropractic. Now, before my workouts, I stretch vigorously all muscles leading into the lower back area. Even stretching stomach muscles will help keep fluid motion in lower back. You gotta keep good blood flow in those areas to maintain muscle flexibility and joint mobility. I know H2O Seeker is an expert on these subjects, but I can only attest from personal experience.
