Built a 34 ร24 with concrete and everything site built was 19,000. Good luck. Like said build as big as you can. I would have gone bigger but poa limited size in my neighborhood. What height are you doing?

I'm going 48 x 60 and right now am at about 55k. That's dirt work, cement, and building erected. That is $19 a foot. Pretty good deal right there.

I have a Triton 20' and built a 30x40.I also inclosed a 14x14 area for a man cave with storage on top.I would have done a 40x50 but the cement cost stopped that.Build the biggest you can afford and it will fill up.

Like 361V said don't skimp on the door,I went with a 12' also and get a good door.I didn't care for the roll up door Muller had and I had a door company come in and install one with an opener.I went with 14' walls also.

My 30x40 stays full. I'm about to build a 40x60.

Thatโs bad [censored] V! I wish I had that. On a side note, I know a family that lives in Lake Dallas in a neighborhood airport kinda place. His house looks like an 8000 sq ft mansion from the front....until you go around back and see that itโs a 2500 Sq Ft house with a 5500 sq ft airplane hanger built into it. Lol.

A Quonset hut is pretty good value. Some don't like the look. Mine has been awesome.

there is no such thing as too big......there is however too small
build the largest you can get away with This is great advice. I built 30 x 40 with 14' sidewalls. I put an 8' ceiling over my boat and have a second floor for storage above the boat only. The slab is 40x50, so there is a 20' covered area for my travel trailer. The boat room is 30' long, and I have a tool room behind it that has a door to the boat room and to the shop. Spray foam is worth the money. Still, I wish I had built the shop 40x60 so that I had more workshop space, but I can always close in the carport area and add another one for the camper. With the slab and all of the other work that went into it, I believe I'm about 35-40K in. I am an electrician by trade, so I've done all of the wiring myself. I also did the framing for the dividing wall and second floor. Otherwise it is all steel, I just framed walls all the way around because I would rather have plywood to hang things on, and they also support the storage level above the boat. I have 2 -12' wide roll up doors, 1 10' wide roll up door, one man-door, and 2 windows.

I'll add my opinion here. I think the cheapest route is to build a pole barn. If you plan to finish any of the interior walls you might want to go conventional framing 2x4 on 24" centers. If you go iron, you still have to frame walls to hold your interior plywood/sheetrock/osb, etc. A pole barn still requires wall framing for interior finishing. Hire someone to build a pole barn shell and finish the inside yourself at your own pace.
Check craigslist or facebook marketplace for some pricing estimates in your area.

Built my 30x60 a couple of years ago insulated, concrete, electricity/lighting and bathroom/shower for about $36k. As mentioned figure out what you need and then build it bigger. I did that and will have plenty of room once my son stops playing baseball and the cage comes out. Remote 18ft garage door has been awesome and nothing like being able to leave the truck hooked up to the boat overnight inside and not have to hook up at 4am. Didn't put windows in mine as I didn't want people able to see the toys inside, but will be adding them. like an oven in there in the summer.

Get references and 3-5 quotes. Concrete is expensive right now and has been for some time. There are several commercial places going up here in town and in talking with the developers the concrete alone cost more than the building with finish out.

Biggest you can afford. Build a 60x100 with a man cave or full living quarters if you can afford it. I built a 30x50 with 12' lean to's off each side. I can enclose the lean to's if need be at a later date. Set the posts at 12.5' each so the back 12.5x30 is a separate room with 6' roll up doors in each end for lawn mower, chain saws, weed eater, feed room and storage with storage on top of the room. Leaves 37.5x30 for the shop with 2 10' doors in the end. At 37.5 feet long, is just right to put a 21' boat in and still be able to walk all the way around it even with a full length work bench along the back wall. I designed it myself and works well. I don't know where you are located, but know a couple really good metal building builders and the one that did mine did it for cost plus, so really saved me some money.
P.S. my wife was really mad the first time she saw an areal view of our place because the shop has a bigger foot print than the house from the air, lol!

Please donโt buy with mueller. Their prices are ridiculously high. I erect metal structure for a living and can tell you first hand. I have 2 shops. One 40x30 with 20โ gable extension and a 40โx14โ lean to. The other is a 24x30.
Both 12x12 doors, roll backs. Way better doors!
If you need any pricing on a building or labor let me know. I know Iโm located in east Texas area, but will help you out any way I can.
My take also, is go weld up. Engineered buildings are costly and softer material compared to a weld up. I specialize in weld up buildings and they withstand 120+mph winds. We do engineered buildings also โbolt upsโ but I try to convince my customers to do weld up.
30x40 is definitely big enough. I put my fx21 in one bay and have a golf simulator and green in the other. But I would agree with others, if you can afford or have space for bigger, 40x50 is perfect for man cave, tools, boat.
P.M me any questions or text/call if I can help you out. 903-215-zero5nine0 Statton Keith
