Hey guys, just updating yall on Benny. I spoke to him on the phone and we talked for a little bit. He said he is no longer making the bait and he said what is left of what he has made is it. He is no longer making the bait due to age. I asked him if any one else in his family would be making it again and he said no. Never thought id see this day. I just ordered some of his bait today. He also told me he was the one who took down his website.

He will be well remembered for a long time, I met him fishing on Lewisville many years ago, think I was even on his web site adds. Have introduced his Sure Shot to lots of folks, both for good fishing bait and other (not mentioned) uses.

Ryan B-I am getting totally different information than You have posted. I just placed an order this morning, and was told Benny is still in business and has no intention of ceasing production. His sister further stated the expense of maintaining the website was the reason it was discontinued. His sister seemed upset that the rumor has even spread to the local bait shop. I told her I had read it from Your postings on this forum. She was unaware this site existed. It might be helpful if sureshot was promoted on TFF to the extent some other marketers hype their products. Hopefully everyone will get on the same page and further rumors will not cause problems. I have tried several commercial baits and have been pleased with the results using Benny's bait.

Okay when I spoke with Benny last week he told me he was no longer going to make the bait and said he was to old to do it. Then I asked him is anyone else going to make it and he told me no and he said what’s left is all that there is. I was just posting what I heard straight from Benny. I never got to speak to his sister so maybe that’s why I did not know what you heard. Like I said I talked straight to Benny and that’s what he told me. Hopefully like you said all of us can get on the same page.

I have talked to benny's and bought his bait. I have a e caught many fish on his bait also. I always admired how he did business. He was not out to get rich because there is no doubt he could have made a deal to sale his bait st all of the stores.

He was not out to get rich because there is no doubt he could have made a deal to sale his bait st all of the stores. Heck he might even got rich I have no idea. I would bet he is a happy man because when you pick up your bait his boat is gone often.

I just talked to him this morning and ordered 5 more gallons from him. He no longer has his website but he does still have his business. Just wanted to clear up any misunderstandings.
