I know I've had uncles and grandfathers call me that when I was a kid... so I took it to mean some kind of endearment. We had a female inspector that overheard us one day, she called the boss a Whickerbill in a meeting, he died laughing.

Guess there really is a word Whickerbill, and it's not really a term of endearment. roflmao
