Which is better? Someone told me they were the same. The engineers from Odyssey left at some point & started Northstar. Basically the same battery. Iโm looking at the Odyssey pc 2150 vs the Northstar pro nsb-agm31m.

Don't know about Northstar but the Odyssey 2150 is a beast when it comes to dual purpose cranking and running electronics/accessories

The North Star has 220 minutes reserve vs 205 on Odyssey Do they differ in amp hours or Cold Cranking Amps? Those are the most important values. I run Odyssey and love them. They do weight almost 70 pounds each however.

If not the same they are real damn close. Get whichever is cheaper. My four Northstar batteries weigh between 75 and 77 pounds each so you might want to consider the weight gain depending on your rig.

Iโm with Neal G on this. If you think the manufacturing is close and the specs are close then it only makes sense to save money and get the cheaper ones. When I picked up my Odysseyโs it was from a local place in Baton Rouge (Battery World) and they were nice enough to match online pricing without the cost of shipping. If you can find a similar deal then it may make the prices similar. Good luck and be sure to pair them with a good charger.

North Star is just a little bit cheaper. The dealer here carries both batteries. He said price on north star is going up in April. Said theyโre increasing to same price as odyssey. Northstar is about $60 bucks cheaper( for now).

Consider warranty as well. Batteries Plus has their 31AGM Marine battery made by Northstar and has a 4 year free replacement warranty. I believe Northstar is only 3 years on theirs. Not sure on Odyssey.

Not sure on Odyssey. X2 power is made by northstar with same specs that northstar batter has. I purchased mine from batteries plus. they also have 10 percent off right now and almost always. Best battery I have ever owned. I run power poles, solix 12, kicker stereo and have yet to see it drop below 12.2 volts. Also paid close to 400 bucks but worth every penny. They do provide 48 month warranty.
