My 870 has the plug out full of high brass turkey loads. It kills hogs at close range.

I have shot the shorty 870 the tac-14 and that with that pistol grip you would actually be very surprised with the recoil.

Out of all the bs that gets posted on here, this tops it all. Any shotgun, no matter the manufacture, model, length or any other bs someone can strum up will have the same outcome. Just pick one dude.

I have a mossberg 500 home defense, recently converted an extra Remington 1100 20 gauge to home defense, it was a fun build and cheap too

call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

I disagree. In close quarters the shorter barrel is easier to get up and pointed down range. Universal for men, women and older kids(ie easy to shoot and not to big), the short barrel initially causes the shot pattern to spread quicker and not stay tight, making it less likely to miss. Reason law enforcement use them. Oh and just the racking of a round is one of the most noticeable sounds and a deterrent in and of itself

I can have a shotgun up and pointed just as quick with a 28” barrel as opposed to a 24” barrel. It makes no difference whatsoever. It’s the person operating the weapon. A tactical mossberg maverick shotgun is no deadlier than a super black eagle 2.

In close quarters it does matter and I would almost bet you can’t get a full-size shotgun and on target faster than tactical. I know I can’t or anyone else I know. And they are lighter and more friendly to kids and women. Then the shot pattern is much better

BS. It’s the operator not weapon. How many Olympic Trap shooters do you see shooting shotgun with a 24” barrel?
