Faircloth and Pace are still in a Skeeter. Robinson as well. Yamaha kept several BPT pros too. Are they using last years boat? Skeeter probably not happy they got rid of the boat race away from and back to the ramp. I would assume they are in the new FXRs. I bet you can look it up on each one's personal sites.

I think we will continue to see a lot of shift in sponsors until they find the platform that best pushes their product, and gives the best return of their investment. MLF has said their going after a different audience, one that doesn't necessarily love to fish but will watch it on TV. This audience won't be going out and buying Skeeters. On the other hand, if Skeeter is in fact retaining or adding to its elite angler staff it could be a better investment because the BASS fan base will likely be made up of more boat buyers and users. I could be way off but that was my first thought.

In my 30 years of buying bass boats I have NEVER bought a bass boat because a pro used them. When I played professional golf I never bought a golf club or used a golf ball because another player used them. I chose what club and ball worked for my game same goes for the boats I have bought. Totally agree with this. Most of my clubs were custom fitted by the brand I hit the best. When I was searching for a boat I had a set of criteria the boat had to meet or exceed. None of those Criteria said Jacob Wheeler Preferred or Approved by Gary Klein.

Last I checked, they were still close to #1 in boat sales annually. Trust me when I say, there's nothing wrong at Skeeter.

I could be way off but that was my first thought. I won't be part of that audience. On Saturday I was trying to find something to watch on tv and there was an MLF tournament on the WFN so I stopped there for a few minutes. It just doesn't hold my interest watching those guys try to catch small fish as quickly as they can. I much prefer the 5 fish tournaments.

I've really enjoyed the one and two hour MLF tournaments shows on outdoor and discovery channels....the shows on the lakes in north Carolina, bull shoals and Conroe certainly showed them catching some quality fish including an 8lb by Edwin evers…. if you were a professional fisherman and trying to get exposure for yourself and your sponsors, which would you prefer? a tournament trail that gets 850 hours of television exposure and showcases the top 10-12 catching fish for two hours or a trail that might get 35 hours TV time a year and you have to be in top 2-3 to get a few minutes TV exposure...

They are selling them quicker than they can make them. The FXR has been a huge hit already as well. Their national package ZX boats are some of the most loaded boats you will find and significantly priced below of similarly rigged comparable boats from other brands.

Well, I know of 2 who tried it the new way and then high tailed it back to the old way, so....grass might not be greener in TV land.

Maybe 2 weren't making the "green" like they thought they would. Hope they find what they are looking for now.
