Nah, they've still got the same GM so not much will change except they won't get sunburned in the new stadium. Rangers will always need pitching as long as Daniels is there. I still watch and hope though just like I do with the Cowboys and Mav's.

I think they have the deepest starting rotation in the west if they hold to previous form. They still need a few bullpen pieces and I'm still not sure about guzman. Still could use a CF.

Still hoping they sign or trade for another 3rd baseman. That way Frazier can play 1st or 3rd. I do not have a lot of faith in Guzman.

Also we could use another outfielder and bullpen piece or two.

Yeah Guzman aint the answer at 1st. Maybe convert Santana to play that position? Looks like they will have a strong pitching staff, starters anyway. Frazier will be an upgrade at 3rd. I think Odor is on double-secret probation,to borrow an Animal House reference. They should be able to sneak in to a wild-card spot at least.

Not even close yet. Plus they still have suck-fest Daniels.

They drafted two 3rd baseman last year. One from Tech and one from Baylor. Neither will be ready for the bigs this year. As far as Gallo at 1st, we canโt move any more outfielders around. We donโt have enough outfielders at the moment as it is.

I think they have the deepest starting rotation in the west if they hold to previous form. They still need a few bullpen pieces and I'm still not sure about guzman. Still could use a CF. Santana is the long term projection in CF. On paper they are deep with starters however none have proven they can pitch in Texas long term (New park may impact this a bit too.) Since Nolan/Maddox left the expectation to push pitchers deep in games left with them. This in turn exposes a very shallow bullpen as you mention. Until they get a pitching coach who can change the culture and mindset that it's OK to pitch beyond 5 2/3 innings without your arm falling off they will have to rely on the HR's. I don't see anyone who is a 'hit for avg' everyday player currently.
Grateful for every sunrise and sunset I get to witness. - Jason
