Cleveland wants Saleh pretty bad too. Barry Switzer told Lincoln Riley OU is a better job than the Cowboys. He said more coaches in America would rather have his job at OU than the Cowboys job. I tend to agree. Wisdom ^^^^

McCarthy hire validates everything I posted above....safe, down the middle, respected football guy with skins on the wall....because the team is positioned to be good without a lot of fluff.

I can't say that as a Cowboys fan I am terribly excited about McCarthy. He was ran off from GB because his offense got stagnant and the current game seemed to have passed him by. Does not look good when your replacement comes in with the same group of players and with no HC experience turns the team into a 13-3 record and a playoff berth. McCarthy was 6-9-1 the year prior.
Other reports are they plan to interview Marvin Lewis as well. Another one that does not get me thinking that he is any better than Garrett. Also, a complaint about McCarthy is he never really developed Rodgers and didn't get the best out of him. For Dak's sake, a QB friendly HC would be a plus. I don't know about developing Rodgers and getting the best out of him. Rodgers and McCarthy were often at odds over play calling and strategy. Rodgers was known for ignoring McCarthy and calling his own plays in the huddle. McCarthy got fired because of locker-room drama with Aaron Rodgers, not because he isn't a good coach. With A. Rodgers, EVERYTHING is about him!

I admit that despite initially not being overly excited that they interviewed him I feel better now after reading what he did with his year off.
