I had a gift card Academy. I had to go to the Dr to get meds today because I am sick. There was an Academy near by I got me and one of my step sons a MR.Crappie rod and a zebco reel. I got me some heads and 2 road runners.I saw someone using road runners for crappie. Looks good,..I'm sure they will be used. I would change the line on the reel, historically I have found that the line they use is kinda cheap, and will twist and break.

Looks good,..I'm sure they will be used. I would change the line on the reel, historically I have found that the line they use is kinda cheap, and will twist and break. I have some Mr.Crappie string ready to put on it. This academy didn't have a large reel section

I have 2 Mr Crappie rod and reals and a Mr Crappie jig pole. They are pretty descent tools my brother

those road runners are nice. i would get some of the black and chartreuse slablicious jigs.
