I need to get me a couple of fryers. But I cannot get any in my normal shallow spots. Is it just me? It doesn't matter which lake. Tawakoni, Cedar Creek.

have you tried texoma, around the dam? I would also cast to pockets around creek inlet that hold bait and heat.

I found cats, gaspers, black bass and hybrids in the shallows today. They were all on points. The wind probably helped since it had the water stirred up pretty good.

Try a creek or river. I went on the Colorado around Smithville last weekend and caught in about four to ten feet of water. My little creek in Belton also has them shallow as there is no place for them to go unless they drop about fifteen miles down into the Brazos.
