I always wear self inflating flotation device while fishing alone. have fallen out of boat before, besides that I am older with some health issues
and do not want them to drag for my body.

I fish by myself a great deal, fish with my wife often, and other family members and friends. I am usually fishing for records so I often need a witness for my records so that is one advantage of fishing with others. I really enjoy teaching young anglers how to catch fish and watching as they reel them in.

I've got a pretty good schedule for fishing. Better than most, so I fish alone more than not. But I also fish with a few buddies. These guys are good people as well as good fishermen. It helps to see what new tings they have learned, and the companionship is nice.

With my work schedule I fish more often solo than with someone. I enjoy it. Some days its great just to not talk or answer someone. Its a great way to recharge. There are times if I stay at my place on Fork that I can ho a few dats without talking to another person besidesmy wife on the phone a couple of times.

I fish alone alot of the time due to working shift work. If anyone is with me, it's my dad since his retirement schedule stays free. But i kinda feel bad when he's with me and I'm spending time graphing, working on different techniques or new areas instead of putting fish in the boat like we normally do. I do really enjoy my solitude when alone and dont really care to have anyone with me other than my pops.

I prefer it. Don’t have to worry about pleasing anyone else and can do exactly as I like. It’s just me and the dog in my boat.

If I’m on a good bite I like to take others out. I prefer having someone join me. But I do cherish the days I fish alone. On those days I’m not afraid to get skunked and try to fish new water and different techniques looking for a better bite. I feel like when someone else is with me I need to just put us on fish. When alone, I’m more interested in trying to find a quality bite and I’m fine if it results in a zero for the day.

Besides my teenage son who pushes me in using new techniques I fish alone quite a bit. Most of my buddies up here enjoy a fishing trip out on a boat but usually have very little tackle or know how and end up using (and losing) my equipment. When I’m out with them I feel big pressure to catch any fish and don’t get to pursue quality fish or even bass half the time. I wish I could find a partner whose schedule aligned with mine and we could work to learn lakes more and figure it out better.

Agree! I do fish longer when I'm with someone. 99% of the time I can usually find someone who wants to go fishing (family, friend, neighbor)
