I prefer fishing alone, but rarely get to do so.

If I had to fish by myself I would never go. I enjoy sharing the experience with my friends. I like harassing my partner too much.

I am in the position where my son is grown and has no interest, and neither does the wife.
Being new to Texas I have no friends here yet, and am going to be fishing alone for the immediate (and maybe longterm) future.
Just wondering how many of you folks regularly fish by yourself? I live on a lake and I almost always fish alone. But all I do is hit the down button and lower the boat. If they bite I stay out. If not I come home. If I were traveling to a variety of lakes I'd want a partner from time to time.

I fish a LOT by myself. It is peaceful and you LEARN a lot, if you are willing to try new things. I learned the most when I started fishing by myself a lot, prefishing forT's and just fun fishing. Not a bad deal. You DO have to think a little more when you are in the boat by yourself, because you do not wat to fall in by yourself. There is always the tri8m switch if you do, but you may need to be just a little more careful and let someone know when and where you are going and what time you might be back in, at least I do. Hope this helps. Tight lines, kee0 safe and good luck.

I fish alone sometimes (the dog is usually with me) but most of the time my wife comes along. She enjoys bass fishing as much as I do. I prefer to have her with me but do enjoy the alone time on occasion.

Fishing alone is peaceful. I go when I want, stay as long or as short as I like and fish wear I like. I put in a little later and leave a little sooner not to be that guy at the ramp..lol

I find I catch more/better fish when Iโm alone. Thereโs no pressure to put a partner on them. You can swing for the fences , if you zero out. you still enjoy the peace and quiet.

I enjoy both but there are times I like to be by myself with my thoughts and block out everything else.

I always extend an invitation to at least a couple folks, but I usually wind up fishing alone. People are either way busier than I am or like fishing less than I do. Hopefully as my girls get older they will become my fishing partners.
