Looking to get one for doing jobs around the house. Staining fence and deck type things. Looking for recommendations. I’m not sure where to start.

I got a Wagner Control Pro 150 this past year. Love it. Like anything, there is a trick. Get and use good tips. https://www.wagnerspraytech.com/products/paint-sprayers/high-efficiency-airless-series/Added: You are not stuck with using Wagner Tips. You can get any brand Gun Tip Guard as they are interchangeable on the guns. The tips are not interchangeable, but you can get the different brand guards and then add a variety of tips.

best bang for the buck for things like staining a fence, paint a room, seal a deck. can use 5 gal. buckets if needed, 1 gal. works too. wouldn't hesitate to buy this one. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Graco-Magn...Stationary-Airless-Paint-Sprayer/3160175![[Linked Image]](https://mobileimages.lowes.com/product/converted/633955/633955562516.jpg)

I have this one and it is perfect for a homeowner or small business. I also purchased a spray wand extension w/tip and stained both sides of 280 linear ft of board-on-board fence last Saturday. The key to longevity on any sprayer is keeping them clean and stored with cleaning/lubrication solution.

How many gallons of stain did that take? I have this one and it is perfect for a homeowner or small business. I have three HVLP Binks 2100 guns at work. Pretty solid in my opinion. I don't clean them but maybe twice a year. Replace the packing once a year. Really not much problem at all. Spraying lacquer through them. I can't really say anything about airless sprayers. I've used one probably 3-4 times in my life. For HVLP they make a good product.

The question is, by the time I tape of all the windows, trim I don't want painted, cover the flooring, take down the ceiling fan....can't I just roll and brush the room in the same time? I still have to do a little masking with the roller/brush process, but not to the level that I would with a sprayer.

edge guard, tape the same as for brushing and use the guard to stop overspray. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.zoro.com/static/cms/product/large/Z0t38wkcpEx_.JPG)

From my experience, if you're doing 1 or 2 rooms that can be covered with one coat of paint, then rolling is the way to go. Anything more than that then you cant beat the spray rig. Properly cleaning the sprayer to put up for long term storage takes some time if you want it to work properly the next time you pull it out.

I have a spray rig just like this and it works great. I was able to paint the entire inside of a rent house in about an hour. I taped off windows, light fixtures, and electrical outlets. You can also take a trash bag to put around a ceiling fan instead of taking them down. I use regular plastic grocery bags to tape off smaller light fixtures. Taping everything off takes time but it's way faster then rolling everything by hand.
