 Need recommendations for the donation of tackle to a HS club

My long time fishing buddy passed away a few months ago. I am helping his family dispose of the tackle that an avid fisherman collects over his lifetime. This includes rods and reels, both spinning and bait caster, lures of all types, terminal tackle and of course the plano boxes of stuff we all collect. He was a true patriot, 30 years in the Air Force retiring as a Major, an avid University of Texas alum and loved to share his joy of fishing with everyone.
Please help me find a good home for his stuff.
He lived in the Dallas metroplex area.
