Read across the wires coming to the trolling motor with a voltmeter. If it’s 36v and you want 24 just take the one battery out of the series.
Quickest, most direct answer if you're unsure of how to map out your cable runs.

So I noticed I had a 46v fuse and that all three of my batteries were hooked up to the trolling motor. It was only a matter of time till my fuse would blow up on me. Also, I saw that my cranking battery wasn’t even hooked up to my charger. So basically, I rewired the batteries to have just 24v running in the trolling motor and then I reconnected my cranking battery to the charger. After doing all of that, I now have an extra battery sitting in my boat. Sorry for my limited terminology, but after a lot of help on here and some YouTube videos and help from a buddy, I was able to get it fixed!
Also if anyone is interested, I have a 112lb thrust / 36v fortrex for sale for 300 if anyone wants it. I used to have that, so that’s why I had 4 batteries in my boat.

You might want to invest in an inexpensive digital voltmeter. It's hard to troubleshoot electrical problems without one.

You can tie the extra battery in parallel with one of the other Trolling motor batteries. Just hook the + to + and - to - This will take advantage of the extra amp hours of the extra battery.

I'd either pull the extra, or parallel it to the cranking battery keeping in the 12v loop. I don't know about piggy backing it to just one side of a series'd 24v loop? Maybe it'd be fine, I don't know.
