Where does TPWD get info for fishing reports posted on their website?
I'm especially interested today because I want to head to Fork on the day after Christmas..... conditions look favorable, but I've read that it's been really tough lately. However, TPWD says the fishing is "Good".

Spinners work on every lake it seems. Not sure if they mean spinnerbaits but its been on most reports for months. Apparently some lakes still have a topwater bite too.

They can be quite comical, I think they get reused every year from 15 years ago.

Back when Honey Hole was big I saved the monthly magazine for years. Anytime I had a tournament on a new lake I would pull out them out and read the old report for that month. It was amazing how many times (some) of the guides used the same report over and over for that month.

the only accurate and truthful fishing report I've ever seen is James Bendele's Falcon tackle Report....if fishing is bad,James will tell you it's bad,if it's good you can believe him and he won't lie about what they are biting just to sell a few lures...a word of caution,his report is funny, entertaining,not politically correct and R-rated..... http://www.tackleandrods.com/lake/flash.htm
