Well let's see...MDR recently defaulted on their debt, the received a delisting warning from the NYSE and appears to be just a hair this side of declaring bankruptcy - that is why the stock looks like such a bargain. Guess where stockholders get in line if the filing comes?
TMRC looks interesting, but why is their pile of West Texas dirt worth more than the other hundred piles of West Texas dirt? At least the sand hills around Monahans have tourist and fracking value.

America has become a second-rate power. Its trade deficit and its fiscal deficit are at nightmare proportions. Now, in the days of the free market when our country was a top industrial power, there was accountability to the stockholder. The Carnegies, the Melons(Specially Thorton), the men that built this great industrial empire, made sure of it because it was their money at stake. Today, management has no stake in the company! All together, these men sitting up here own less than three percent of the company. And where does Mr. Cromwell put his million-dollar salary? Not in MDRr stock; he owns less than one percent. You own the company. That's right, you, the stockholder. And you are all being royally screwed over by these, these bureaucrats, with their luncheons, their hunting and fishing trips, their corporate jets and golden parachutes. The richest one percent of this country owns half our country's wealth, five trillion dollars. One third of that comes from hard work, two thirds comes from inheritance, interest on interest accumulating to widows and idiot sons and what I do, stock and real estate speculation. It's [censored]. You got ninety percent of the American public out there with little or no net worth. I create nothing. I own. We make the rules, pal. The news, war, peace, famine, upheaval, the price per paper clip. We pick that rabbit out of the hat while everybody sits out there wondering how the hell we did it. Now you're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy, are you John? It's the free market. And you're a part of it. You've got that killer instinct. Stick around pal, I've still got a lot to teach you. Thanks "Old Bee" LOL I've got a few benjamins burning a hole in my pocket and this seems like a low risk/high reward "investment" Ask me about fishing, I could write you a book. Ask me about betting on sports, I can out pick 99% of the people you know who bet sports. But when it comes to playing the market, you are right, I have much to learn. At this point in the stock market, it's no different than betting on a Friday Night Fight. Sounds like your background makes you perfect for stock picking.

Just dont bet the farm on this one and do your due dilligence. Key points:
MDR bought out another Houston firm that was loosing there a___ on several big construction projects recently, obliviously getting in too deep as well. Most of the problem construction projects are still not complete. MDR had to take a very large loan this quarter just to stay afloat. Some reports of contractors not getting paid. The terms of the loan requires the sell of some of the major profitable units within the company in very near future.
This is just some of the public info that could be found. In short, this company has very long odds at the moment for survival with declaring bankruptcy. A very good stock buy for now due to price, just don't get caught holding the bag....

Thanks again for the tip. Up 33% so far. Not bad for a week. You're welcome Lee. The last time I looked it was at 1.49, which is almost 100% gain since he got in, if my math is correct. He bought over 10k shares. Glad I listed to him this time! Love me some bouncing cat!
