I read minimum 89 but when I go to fork 87 is the best I can find ethanol free. You’d think the place that holds the biggest skeeter event would have proper gas for them to run on. I also add ring free and ethanol treatment to every tank. winkle oil co. in winnsboro has all grades in non ethanol and the pricing is not outrageous. 24/7 operation with the card readers too, even if the station is closed the pumps still sell gas. https://www.facebook.com/winkleoilco/ not sure when the picture was taken, from their fb page.

Look, man I appreciate your desire to guide me but I can purchase ethanol free gasoline in three places. Two are on the lake and are $4.29 per gallon. The other is in town and is $3.28 a gallon for ethanol free. Those are my choices and all are 91 octane. So what I gain is I get the ethanol free gasoline I want and I get above the minimum octane. So if I get what I want, I gain something. Anything else in my life you want to help me with?

Fuel won't have an effect on speed, just fuel efficiency and less carbon buildup. All SHO engines are supposed to run 89 Octane as that is what they are tuned for. Anyone running anything less is not doing a favor for your engine life.

Thanks for all your comments. I think I’ll go with the 89. Lol Smart move since that's what the mfg recommends. That's what I'll run, too, with ring free added 10gal:1oz.
