Can I update my Helix 10 without the transducer hooked up? I want to do it in the house where it's warm.

Can I update my Helix 10 without the transducer hooked up? I want to do it in the house where it's warm. yes, put it in simulator mode and make sure the power source is good. You do not want a power loss during update process

updated my helix 10 g2 to 2.11. now when you go to user mode the choice is custom or angler. if you're going to tweak it some, do you use angler or custom mode?

A Sept 2018 software update renamed the two User Mode settings.
Used to be Normal and Advanced, now it is Angler and Custom.

If I want to study a lake on my helix 10 with my my chip in (I've got it in the house no transducer) do need to turn the sonar off?

Guys, you have probably answered this question before, but, I have problems getting true depth readings with my Solix. I have a Solix at the steering and on the bow. Both are inconsistent and unreliable and I bought new in December of 2018. Any thoughts?

What's your current software? What's your transducer setup?
