I've never let mine just sit out. I salt for 15 mins, pat dry dry and flip, salt 15 mins, pat dry, season 15 mins and flip, season 15 mins, then grill Works pretty good. Doesn't the salt burn a bit? Hopefully you pat dry in private.

I cook my steak so fast you want it as warm as possible before putting it on the grill.

Marinate with Moores till reaches room temp, 7 min one side with butter, flip 5 min other side with butter. on scalding hot grill.
Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.

The point is it will never come to room temp. Sure you can let it sit out for 30 mins and warm up some, but it will take a very very long time to come to room temp Exactly The surface temperature will warm up but the center will have barely changed

I have seen the mess some people post on here, heinz 57 on steaks, worchester sauce, boiled meat, burnt. I'll keep on making rare works of art and ignore the noise. You mean you don’t like your steaks marinated for 8 hours in sweated yak’s milk, injected with Uncle Doody’s Cajun Spunk and then smoked over wild forest bull nettles?

I have never understood why so many try and cover up the taste of the expensive cut they just bought. Let the steak itself be the star of the show instead of its seasonings.
