Hey Fishin'aholic2, this past week my wife has been wondering what came over me as all of a sudden I have been spending money on slip bobbers, jigheads and stump bugs and disappearing for a few hours a day. This video (and the one before) gave me the creek crawler virus and I haven't been able to shake it.
Spent all day yesterday out at the creeks south of Lavon, north of Hubbard and tried out your tactics. Never used a slip bobber before so it's been a learning experience. Caught a couple dinky whites but not much else. Since I haven't fished the creeks in years (literally) since college, and then it was only during the white bass spawn, I haven't got the feel yet for that super soft crappie bite. I think I missed a few that I thought were sticks or stumps.
Anyways, thanks for the inspiration.

I am so glad these videos have reignited your creek fishing fire! I want these videos to help other anglers catch more fish and share the great sport of Crappie Fishing! There is something about walking down a trail to the creek with a chill in the air and a jig and bobber tied to your rod that will never get old to me. I will say it takes some time to learn the bite as they can be super soft a lot of the time. Just keep after them and it will pay off. Wait till you wife finds bobbers and jigs in the washing machine LOL.

Anyways, thanks for the inspiration. You may want to get you a long extendable pole as well. They are great for creeks too I got one last night for 14 bucks at walmart. It is a 13 footer.. I put a small plastic crappie reel on it...
