My wife got me tickets to see them at fair park a while back. She got them when the fair was ongoing. I got there an hour early and it took 90 minutes just to drive in from fair park. There were no parking spaces anywhere. The people in the hood charge to park in their yards. They were all full. People were parking at fast food places and other businesses and getting towed as quick as they walked away.
We said to heck with it and went to IHOP.

I turn the station when they come on
call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

best drummer ever! I'd at that Alex Lifeson is very underrated.

Worst band ever. Come at me. Technically, you are incorrect. This band is one of the only bands where all memebers have their masters in their respective instruments. They are a “smart” band...kinda like Tesla. Not for everyone, that’s true. And the 2112 overture is not for the ADD crowd. It’s a 20 minute song with lots of changes. Neal is arguably one of the best drummers ever to get behind a set. The Passage to Bangkok is better live, on the “exit stage left” album.

2112 is one of those albums you have to listen to from start to finish while reading the lyrics. When Tom Sawyer came out I cringed and I still do this day. I despised Rush because of that song. In Highschool we had a rock band that we followed and we would have some wild [censored] party's at their practice studio, and we would jam out till we hours of the morning listening to Rush. Every band has a bad song or two, and I would have never listened to Rush if it wasn't for those guys, but the entire 2112 album is pure genius. Neil Peart's poetic justice is something that gets overlooked, Alex Lifeson's guitar play is one of the best and there is no better drummer that has ever lived!

If you like the “long songs” with wild key changes and crazy time/tempo changes, Xanadu is a good one to listen to as well.

Their live DVD they recorded in Brazil was the last “album” I enjoyed. It rained for days prior to the concert, so they decided that the stage props would be cloth dryers. Haha
Neal would get so exhausted playing his drum solos, that the songs that followed his solos, had no percussion. That dude is a beast.
I also like the “Closer to the heart” recordings with Bubbles from “Trailer Park Boys”. Greatness.

I saw them once, in the early 80’s, when they were in the Exit Stage Left tour. My Marcus High School pictures I was wearing my 3/4sleeve Rush t and parachute pants and Vans. I was such a thug.

They can pull everything off live just like the studio. That was a great live video To be able sing and play them bass lines is immense talent
