Let’s say the Cows get beat 27-10 and it’s very clear they have quit. Are Jerry’s hands tied? Does he have to cut Red Clappy loose after this game?

My prediction: Cows win big 27-10. Chicago offense is horrible.

Jerry is keeping the red clapper through the season.
They are in the worst division in football and could make the playoffs at 7-9.
There are a few things Garrett could do to get fired sooner, but they aren't football related.

As sad as it sounds, I believe all they have to do is beat Washington and Philly and they will be in the playoffs. I cant see any way that Jerry or for that matter, any owner firing the head coach when the playoffs are that possible with 4 games left. Unless you had someone already on the staff that you thought could make a difference.

Do you still fire the coach if your in 1st place? I would think the only option if they did would be to use someone on the staff now to replace him. I just don't think Jerry will do it unless Garretts replacement is ready to start.

9-7 is pretty optimistic. 8-8 will be a "good" year. 7-9 is more realistic.

Question - Who would you rather have as the new HC - Ron Rivera, Urban Meyer, or Lincoln Riley?
Answer - Yes, I would.

If we can just play teams with losing records we're in the playoffs.

As I have said. If the Cowboys get into the playoffs they need to get to the NFC Title Game. If that happens Garrett keeps his job. If the boys get into the Super Bowl he get's a three year contract . If the Cowboys win the Super Bowl he will get a 3 to 5 year contract. If the Cowboys fail to get into the playoffs,Garrett will get axed. Just my two cents. 2cents

Side Note: Failure to get to the NFC Title Game Garrett get's his walking papers ! walking

Jason Garrett will coach in the NFL next year, Jerry has already said it and Jerry don't lie. Now for the good news, Garrett gets traded to the NY Giants for a 1st round 2020 pick. thumb

Agree 100%.
However, the cynical side of me says he could throw anyone in there to stand on the sidelines, watch the game, and clap.

That is probably Jerry's biggest fear, he goes to Giants and they beat up on the boys and win a SB. roflmao

He won’t fire him until the season is over, IF he has the balls to fire him then.

The Cowboys may have already won their last game for 2019...
