If I had the Authority, I'd fire the [censored] on the spot this afternoon when he showed up for his shift! If I was the one who welded it, I would just call in and say I quit. Both nasty and embarrassing.
He is truly a sick individual.

If you look closely, can see it had already been Sub Arched. Had already been gouged and prepped up. Hard wire & Flux Hot Pass, then back too the Sub Arc. Why hand weld it 
I'd Tack That!!

Yep... that's butt ugly welding for sure. Even before I learned to weld, I wasn't that bad.

What the heck, M.O.? Why would they run a hand pass over the sub-arc?  Not a Clue Amigo! This was done by the foreman running the night crew

Looks like a few drug tests are in order. The cut off, machine and or grinding along with crack checking and the profit on this job has dissipated into thin air. I wouldn't want to stand by that end during the pressure test. Not sure I wouldn't call for 100% RT or Shear Wave on the next completed weld regardless on the code requirements or drawings.
