Upon further investigation it turns out that it is a piece that broke off of a brine injector that is used to inject brine to keep the turkey moist during cooking. Of course after finding the piece of metal, no one wanted any of that half of the turkey it was baked in to. The company had to know a piece of their equipment was missing and probably stuck inside someone's turkey. How would you handle this situation w the company?

Should've gone vegan. Never found a spike in spinach.

But seriously theyll send you a coupon for a free turkey or something of similar value.

We only buy Butterball brand, 45 years now, never got one with an injector needle built in. What brand was this? Still it is stainless steel and should not cause a problem with the meat around it, IF the meat was cooked to 165. You may get a free turkey out of the deal, anything above that, unless somebody broke a tooth on it, I doubt you would get anything .

The producer or the grocery store will surely replace the turkey for you - you might even get a gift certificate for additional groceries to make up for the inconvenience.

But if nobody was harmed, then no need to blow it out of proportion.
