Wanted to talk about getting away with it.

Last Sunday, 9:20am, north bound on 35E Service road just north of PGB Turnpike. We are on our way back from the H mart, not a care in the world, I sipping my coffee thinking about what teams to bet on that day... and then

I SPOTTED HIM!!.. Its a smokey! Hiding behind a dumpster a bit off the road, he is running radar, I lift off the throttle and look down, 61mph. I am the only car on the road so he is shooting me, I hold my speed steady thinking well... speed limit is 50 so I am not too bad off. I watch the mirror for 20 seconds, and he pulls out and lights em up. At this point he is .8 miles behind me (I measured it the next day as I happened to be on that same road). I could have given him the slip but I slowed down and stopped to let him catch up.

Officer walks up to the truck.

"Hi I am officer Bell, Carrollton Police. Reason I am stopping you is your speed back there. Can I have your license and insurance please?" I hand it over. "You still at the address on Jules Way?"

"Yes Sir"

He takes my documents back to the SUV as I am cursing to the girl about how much this is going to cost me, and she keeps saying "You dont know he might let you off". I am insistent he will not. Its Sunday morning, he is hiding running radar, he epaulettes are red that means he is a traffic cop, not patrol...he IS FOR SURE writing me a ticket.

Officer Bell approaches, he hands me my documents and a business card type deal with his name and instructions on filing a compliment or complaint for the officer, "Well Nathan. Do me a favor... watch your speed and yall have a nice day".

I GOT OFF WITH ONE!

Have you?

Yes 75% of the time, but I know people

call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

Yes. Not often, but occasionally I've driven off with a warning.

accidently entered a school zone on 82 doin 55 (posted limit). past within 10' of the leo shootin radar while watching cross traffic. completely missed the school zone sign.

pulled me over, let me off of felony speeding (still had my cdl). it helped that I was headed to a sherman detectives house to rebuild his deck (tffr).

ony time I have been pulled over in well over 30 yrs. I don't count the times in the semi, only once in it due to 4 of us gettin caught in a bad situation and avoiding a wreck. bama cops.

I suspect you are withholding some key details from your story.
If you were the lone person in the vehicle, there is no way you would have gotten just a warning.
Some women have powers of suggestion, sort of a subtle Jedi mind control.

They don’t use these abilities all the time, but they are heightened in times of danger.
These powers grow in strength as certain life milestones approach.

Your saying Rushy jedi minded the cop and got me off that ticket?

I think it was more like was barley going over the limit, it took FOREVER to decide to pull out and stop me, I think he got bored and figured, "Well lets see if this guy has any warrants and make sure his paperwork is in order".

You know since nothing else was happening 9am Sunday morning.

OR... could be Jedi mind trick. Who knows.

It’s possible
Wearing scrubs while driving may have helped me get just a warning a time or three.

I have got 3 tickets in my life. All in a span of like 4 months back in like 2011. Never had one before or since.

But till last week, NEVER got a warning either. All three times I was stopped prior there was never any doubt I was getting a ticket. Two of those were VERY expensive. One was in a construction zone and one was for going over 100mph. Both were over $500 each.

Hey I never said otherwise. He was cool. 61 in a 50 is not speeding by much but I agree its speeding and he did his job.

I am going to send a compliment on his professionalism into the PD. Maybe he will get a free lunch or something form his Sgt.

Do you have a perfect driving record? Nothing there for at least ten years back? I believe that helps me out in these circumstances a lot.

Don’t press your luck by running through the check-stop in Hebronville.
